About the Author
Bernard Laurance is a self-taught cook who has been experimenting with recipes since the age of seven. He has traveled extensively, seeking out authentic recipes in all corners of the world. In early 2010, he began documenting his recipes in French on his popular blog, lacuisinedebernard.com, which includes more than 600 recipes and won the 2010 culinary Golden Blog Award. Delicious recipes and beautiful book too!

I LOVE this book! It's such a fun and simple cookbook with outstanding recipes. My favorite recipe (so far!) has to be the 'Scandalous Orange Tart' as it is a wonderful twist on a classic lemon tart with added zest and has certainly been a favorite of my friends! The whole book from start to finish is a great way to learn about elements of cooking from around the world and the author, Bernard Laurance, clearly knows his stuff! Other highlights from this book include: The Praline Cream-filled Choux pastries and Moroccan biscotti.

Fantastic concept, great recipes and inspiration

Bought this as a gift for my sister and the whole family love it - the recipes have indeed been fine-tuned to perfection. The classics - cherry clafoutis, tarte tatin, etc. - are done really well but we also loved the new finds: giant praline sandwich cookies and Indian semolina carrot cake among them!
